Russell Brand SA tour cancelled

Comedian Russell Brand was forced to cancelthe South African leg of his latest show Messiah Complex, after he was denied access to SA.
Publicist Debra de Souza said Brand was refused permissionto fly to the country because his passport didn't contain the mandatory numberof empty pages.

Brand tweeted on Friday evening: “Banned from SouthAfrica. Here ready to go. Refused entry. Hope I can come soon.”

Promoter Tony Feldman of Showtime said "We aresorry for any inconvenience caused to Russell Brand’s fans and thank them fortheir continued support. We are hoping to reschedule the dates for mid2014".
